After the dissolution of my marriage, having a professional portrait taken of my daughter and I, turned out to be a surprisingly important step in honoring and reclaiming the new family unit we had become. At first, I had resisted the thought of having a family portrait taken, because in my mind was an image of a sad, broken, and fragile family. What the photographer captured, however, was a genuine portrait of my new family: one of strength, love, joy, and hope. Thank you so much!
